What Christmas means to me
Christmas means many things to me. Most of all it means the birthday of Jesus Christ. Second of all is seeing all of your friends and family. Third of all, which I think we all enjoy the most, is the exchanging of gifts. But mostly is mainly all of them combined. The party with all the family and friends and the games the music the dancing and all the other amazing things that come with the holiday season. Also its even more exciting when you have family members all over the world and they com and visit you or vise versa. For example last christmas most of our family traveled to Nicaragua to spend the holidays with us. There were people that come from Australia (Brother & Feyonce), Miami (Aunts, Uncles, and cousins), and even from New York (Cousin and Husband). It was an amazing Christmas season full of joy and happiness.

Grown Ups Movie Review
The Movie Grown ups was a pretty good movie. Its about 6 grown men that get together at a lake house to remember their Elementary school basketball coach wich with they won their first and only championship. As the weekend goes by at the beach house the 5 husbands act as kids and have a great laugh with their kids and wives. At the end of the weekend they find themselves with their old rival oponents and challenged them to a quick game of basketball. Adam Sandler then gave them the win because he felt bad for them not winning the championship many years ago.

Fiction, Good or Bad (World History Blog)
I personally think that fiction is good because it gives people more insight of Ancient Rome. Ancient Rome has a lot of fiction stories such as the ancient Gods. Asterix series by Rene Goscinny is a comic book novel that is quite famous. The following are some famous films:
Quo Vadis - U.S. 1951 director Mervyn LeRoy
The Robe - U.S. 1953 director Henry Koster
Demetrius and the Gladiators - U.S. 1954 director Delmer Daves (sequel to The Robe)
Jupiter's Darling - U.S. 1955 director George Sidney, based on a play by Robert Sherwood
Ben-Hur U.S. 1959
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum - U.S. 1966 director Richard Lester
Satyricon - Italy 1970 director Federico Fellini
Sebastiane - U.K. 1976 director Derek Jarman
Caligula - U.S. 1979 director Tinto Brass
Gladiator - U.S. 2000 director Ridley Scott
Quo Vadis - Polish/U.S. 2001 director Jerzy Kawalerowicz, remake of 1951 film
Here are some famous plays:
Joseph Addison
Cato
Albert Camus
Caligula
Henrik Ibsen
Emperor and Galilean
Ben Jonson
Sejanus, His Fall
Heinrich von Kleist
Die Hermannsschlacht
William Shakespeare
Titus Andronicus
Julius Caesar
Antony and Cleopatra
Coriolanus
Cymbeline
Robert Sherwood
The Road to Rome (1927), on which a little-known 1955 film Jupiter's Darling was based.
Stephen Sondheim
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Next we have some Television Series:
I, Claudius
Rome
Spartacus miniseries by Robert Dornhelm (director)
Some video games made:
Rome: Total War
Shadow of Rome
Colosseum: Road to Freedom
Those are the examples of fiction in Ancient Rome.
The Gladiator was produced in the year 2000 and directed by Ridley Scott. It was released in May 5 2000 in the US. In this movie there is a Roman Soldier called Maximus. Maximus after fighting the German war against Barbarians they promised him the throne when he returns from the war. When he returned he was not given the throne and sent off to another city as a slave. They then put him in many arena tournaments.
This looks like a bit of what we studied in World History this week. The roman Army would go and come back to war and then their farms would be destroyed and their homes would be teared down. The part about him becoming a slave in another city I dont think is true. At the end I think the only nonfiction part of this film is the story of him going to war in favor of the Romans and coming back not having anything(or the royal throne). But after that o not think that the romans would sell their soldiers as slaves after every war.

My Happiest moment so far...
My happiest moment so far was when I was in Australia from September 18th to October 3rd. It was when my brother got married. He got married to Alicia Crawley, a wonderful Australian girl. The ceremony was extremely nice and at the reception was a blast. My brother, my dad, and I all shared laughs, beers, and cigars. At the end of the wonderful party I could not drive home because I could barely walk to the car. We had to take a cab home and leave the car there, it was a rental anyways. It was just blasts of fun over there in Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia. On the last day of our wonderful stay there we had a little ride to the Great Barrier Reef! We saw millions of fish there and even spotted a couple of white tip sharks. I was not able to take any photos because my camera ,unfortunatly, is scared of sharks. The day we had to go home was very sad and disappointing. All the members of the family were very sad leaving my brother with his newly married wife all the way on the other side of the world. The way home was a 23 hour ride. It was absolutely exhausting and especially if you have a sick dad sitting next to you for 12 hours straight. So I obviously got home sick and with all the jet lag I fell fast asleep.

LIA Marathon
The 20th of October 2010 was a marathon hosted by Lincoln International Academy. I was not sure how many lincoln students won races becasause I had to go early. I had to go to the doctors. Well the music there was alright and it was fun. They also had food stands. I know because I saw a picture of a friend near the stand.
